TABLELAND TABLECRAFT

THE JOURNEY BEGAN NEARLY 40 YRS AGO

Paul Vine – The founder of Tableland Table craft commenced working with wood and timber in the early 1980’s

in the Tweed Valley of Northern NSW, Australia. He first established himself cutting timber into fence posts and poles

then inaugurated the export trade of Camphor Laurel logs to Taiwan.

This trade achieved two things: land owners were happy to have these trees removed as Camphor Laurel is a noxious

weed; and the Taiwanese produced camphor chests and cabinets. Paul’s ventures moved on to the cutting of

wood slabs and natural edge timber and he turned his talents to the making of furniture.

Paul soon expanded his work to other wood and timbers.

Paul now owns a property just south of Herberton, where he and his son Chris, work together with the timber

and the furniture business, they also offer the service of thicknessing your own timber slabs (up to 800 mm wide).

So whether its our timber or yours , it is sure to be a one of a kind masterpiece.
